The Good Report

whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phil 4:8

Grateful

For friends who believe in me, give much needed wise counsel even knowing that I may not like it.

And thanks, for giving me space to rant and trusting that I’m aware of things and don’t need answers.

For being a sounding board, giving asked-for, apt advice – I’m listening.

It helps especially because I didn’t feel that you need/want to be right.

Suddenly, it seems that perhaps, it’s really more blessed to give than to received.

Cos the blessings multiply back to me in ways I didn’t expect. =)

Seems a very good weekend coming ahead.

SOT & What A Great Night

image

Tadah! My beloved Team 26 with Bobby (SOT Dean), albeit many missing! BJ’s pretty hair more visible here.

Woke up early today and hoping there was school to go. *If only I felt this way in Uni! *

The best people are still the best: meeting some SOT folks for coffee tmr noon. Huhoo!! And I haven’t got my starbucks vouchers! =(

Had a very wonderful evening with G. Thanks to all who gave visible and invisible help!

Job search. mm.

1 More Week!

image

Our hotel room, Batam Emerge

Graduating in a week! Like I said, the days are long but the months are short. SOT has been a hell heaven of a great time. Love every moment of it. Stretched and grew. Seen the better and worse side of myself and others.

Made many friends – more importantly, none of my days were boring! Quite unlike the way I was ending my uni education! 6.30a.m at Jurong West every morning in the finale week is such a great way to end the SOT experience.

To my dearests in T26 who went through some really rough time the last few days:

I found little words of comfort. A little poem which encourages me in my distress, I hope it’ll do for you too.

I can’t promise the heavens, but my ears are available. =)

It’s been a long/short journey (depending on which moments I’m reflecting then), at this time, I want to thank:

1. Not really, I really want to sleep.

2. Quite a lot of pics not up, quite a lot of pple I didn’t take with too… =(

3. Since it’s sleep time, I’ll do what I’m supposed to.

4. Up next post (or something), NBS Convo Ball 2008!

5. Good night!

Thank God for Windows Live Writer, otherwise, it’d be a grand total of 3 pictures for this post!

Last NBS Lecture Today @ LKC

Pictures: the people in NBS I will miss.

Caused a little uproar “creeping behind” (quoted a friend’s friend) the lecturer to take the second photograph.

yes, i went up to take a shot from that angle as a keepsake. =)

It was a, ahem, heart-pounding experience – walking up in front of a 700-strong business/accounting Group A cohort.

Went around to take more pictures thereafter.

A good camera matters. Benny’s $1200 Nikkon camera caught better shots. (must get from him *makes a mental note*)

They say that in school, you will not remember the tutorials or lectures and exams you take, but the friends you make and the doodles of cake (last part mine).

I can’t agree more.

In my 3 years, these people, both brilliant and humble, left much more impact in my life than the content of my textbooks and lecture notes.

The intellectual rigour and thought they put you through during seminars and project group meetings, the fun, gym sessions, wonderful lunches and the friendship forged, is all worth the time I took to disrupt my education with University.

I hope I still have opportunities to take more pictures next week!

More to come!
