How Will Others Remember You?
This week @ Post Secret:
I wrote an email to one of my church leaders yesterday morning.
Then I read the contents of the email this morning with an attempt to read it as the receiptent.
Then I asked myself the inevitable:
Is that how I want others to remember me?
How will I be remembered? I do not know. Ask those who are receiptents of my time and energy.
How do YOU want to be remembered? On your death, would people cry over you and that grief lingers because you made a difference in their lives?
Or would they do the customary display of societal-approved sad countenance at your funeral and move on with life quickly?
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” – Ps 90:12
“He who wins friends is wise.” Proverbs.
Give time to people who matters to you.
Make a difference.

Recharging My Spiritual Battery
Someone searched for a particular word to reach my blog today. I clicked on the link and found this: 
Been looking for this for a while. I remember writing this on the old blog. With WordPress, I imported all my posts from all the Blogger blogs I had. Finally found it.
Perhaps it’s coincidence. But I believe it’s god-incidence. Pastor Kong talked about the mobile phone analogy a couple of weeks back. I really quite like it, because I remember having similiar revelation myself years ago:
“God is like the mobile phone signal we can’t see but can communicate with. Prayer and reading the word is like the battery we can feel and experience. Handphone bills are like tithes and offerings and giving to God and others. If you charge the battery and pay the bills, your life will perform normally. You will enjoy better conversations with others.” – TGR, May 2006
I think I wrote better when I was younger. 
The good thing about mediating on the good things is that when we are down, we can read which we wrote and it encourages us. This season appears to be a tough time for many of the people I love. At today’s CG, I received a word during worship: “David encouraged himself in the Lord.”
Perhaps that’s God’s answer to my prayer of my need for encouragement. I found some from that blog post to go on. Albeit this week has been tremendously stretching.
Lack of sleep being the primary cause, besides other things I’m too tired to share.
I want to sleep.
